INTO is a tabletop game that fosters open communication and intimate relationships. I collaborated directly with Betty Pham to design the game elements. We chose Eros by VJ Type as the main display typeface. The letterforms are inspired by Herb Lubalin’s designs for Eros Magazine. Unlike other raunchy couple’s games, INTO was designed with the intention of being displayed in a living room, bookshelf, or credenza – not hidden, tucked away, out of sight. 3D illustrations were directed to hold metaphors of physical intimacy. Each composition feels like a snapshot, caught in the act. As if you walked into a room and witnessed something maybe you should’ve seen. Perhaps these shapes will learn to lock the door next time.
